You then have fifteen (15) days to furnish to the Owner a recorded copy of the FLORIDA Claim Of Lien.

Claimants must file a lawsuit to foreclose against a liened property within one (1) year from the date the FLORIDA Claim Of Lien was recorded. The time frame can be shortened to sixty (60) days if the Owner or an agent for the Owner serves a FLORIDA Notice Of Contest Of Lien. The time frame can be shortened to twenty (20) days if the Owner or an agent for the Owner files suit with the circuit court of the county where the property is located, forcing the Claimant to commence a lien foreclosure action in order to prove that a recorded FLORIDA Claim Of Lien should not be dismissed by the court.
